On Monday, March 16, Dana Douglas sent Peterson Media Group the following press release:
Today, I am proud to announce my candidacy for Alderman in the City of Manchester, Tennessee.
Manchester has been my community for many years, and I care deeply about its future. Over the past 32 years, I have built a career in the water and wastewater industry, starting as an apprentice and working my way up to executive management. That experience has given me a deep understanding of the infrastructure that keeps our city running every day.
I am running for alderman because Manchester is facing serious infrastructure
challenges that must be addressed responsibly. Our sewer collection system is aging and struggling in many areas, and there are parts of our water distribution system where residents experience extremely low pressure. At the same time, the city continues to expand and add new infrastructure.
Growth is important, but it must be managed responsibly. We cannot continue adding new demands to systems that are already under strain without first addressing the problems that exist today.
If elected, I will focus on:
- Prioritizing repairs and upgrades to Manchester’s aging sewer and water infrastructure
- Ensuring responsible and sustainable growth
- Protecting rate payers by making practical, data-driven decisions
- Bringing transparency and real-world experience to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen
After three decades working in this field, I know what it takes to maintain critical
infrastructure and plan for the future. I believe Manchester deserves leadership that
understands these systems and is willing to address the issues head-on.
In the coming months, I look forward to listening to residents, hearing your concerns,
and working together to build a stronger Manchester.
I would be honored to earn your support and your vote.
