In a statement to Peterson Media Group on Wednesday, Feb. 18, Randal Braker, General Manager at the Duck River Utility Commission (DRUC), said that DRUC’s request that customers conserve water had been discontinued.

“All of the water utility storage is back full again as of yesterday and the DRUC is back to normal operation,” Braker said. “The call for conservation has been discontinued. Thanks for your assistance.”
Braker had previously reported that water demand was about 500,000 gallons per day higher than usual in both Tullahoma and Manchester. In his latest update, Braker said that the demand was only “slighted elevated.” This is likely due to city and residential water line repairs.
The Tullahoma Utility Authority (TUA) reported in a Facebook post on Monday, Feb. 16, that it was back to normal operations.
“We’re happy to report that all tanks are now full and the system is back to normal operations,” TUA’s post read. “Thank you to our customers and community for stepping up and conserving when it mattered most. Your cooperation makes a real difference!”
