Franklin County School District announced its nomination of Carol Clark and Stacey Relford for the Tennessee Department of Education’s Recognizing Inspirational School Employees (RISE) Award.
The award honors school employees of pre-k to high schools who demonstrate excellence in their work, school and community involvement, leadership, commitment, local support, and image in the community.
Relford is an administrative assistant at Rock Creek Elementary, while Clark is a first grade teaching assistant at Clark Memorial Elementary.
“These two recipients represent the heart of our schools … supporting students, staff, and the community with dedication, leadership, and care,” the school district said in a Facebook post. “Their commitment to excellence in service, community involvement, and student success makes a difference every single day.”
The Tennessee Department of Education will select two finalists to represent the state at the national level as the U.S. Department of Education chooses a national honoree.
