On Saturday, November 22, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office hosted its “Trailer of Treasures” toy drive at the parking lot of the Walmart on Decherd Blvd. in Winchester.
The event was renamed after last year’s “Cram the Cruiser” saw incredible success. The event was so successful that the Sheriff’s Office needed a bigger vehicle to fit all the donations. The Trailer of Treasures event saw similar success, this year.
“The donations just kept coming and coming. These toys will be provided to families throughout Franklin County to ensure Christmas Day is a special day while easing holiday-season stress,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post. “We are beyond thankful to our community for their generosity, and we are absolutely proud to say, ‘We are Franklin County.’”
The Sheriff’s Office is still accepting donations at its office at 494 George Fraley Parkway in Winchester.
