Tullahoma City Schools sent out a press release about its gains on July 16.
More information in the press release below:
“Tullahoma City Schools showed gains in every subject when the Department of Education released individual district scores from the Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program (TCAP)and End of Course (EOC) test results.
“We are celebrating the progress our students have made while recognizing the hard work of our educators, support staff, parents and all stakeholders involved in these results,” said Dr. Kristina Boone, Director of Teaching & Learning and Federal Programs.
“Student success is truly a shared effort, and these results are a celebration of the countless hours invested by all. As we begin a new school year, we will use these results to strengthen instruction, build on student growth, and continue our commitment to ensuring every student reaches their highest potential.” TCAP and EOC (middle school Algebra 1 and high school) scores are based on student comprehension in different subject areas. Third through fifth-grade students are tested in English Language Arts (ELA) and mathematics. Middle and high school students are tested in the same subjects, as well as social studies. All students were also tested in science; however, those results will not be available until later this school year.
“Tullahoma City Schools saw a 9 percent gain in math scores from 2025. Additionally, TCS students saw a 2.7 percent increase in social studies scores from 2025 and a 2.2 percent increase in ELA results.
“It is great to see these gains in our district achievement scores, and these results reflect the time our teachers invest in our students,” said TCS Director of Schools Dr. April Norris. It is exciting to see these gains, and our students should also be applauded for their efforts and successes. I am proud of our teachers and students, as well as our parents, families and all stakeholders in our district, for their continued support. We will use this data to celebrate our successes and continue to find ways to improve scores.”
