UT Board of Trustees to Discuss Tuition and Fee Increases for the UT Health Science Center

By Katie Northcott, News Director

The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees will discuss tuition and mandatory fee increases across four programs for the 2026-2027 academic year.

The proposal suggests a two percent tuition increase in the In-State Bachelor of Science Dental Hygiene, Nursing (traditional), Nursing (accelerated), and Medical Technology programs. Mandatory fees are slated to remain the same.

“These increases are needed to provide revenue to cover growth in the costs of providing a learning infrastructure and to maintain the quality and effectiveness
of these programs into the future. It is also expected that the UT Health Science Center will continue to increase funding allocated to scholarships needed to recruit, support, and retain highly qualified students,” the proposal reads.
